21 April 2008 Ticket Deadline reminder

Effective for sales and travel on/after Tuesday 22 April 2008, year round Economy, Business & First Class fares sold/ticketed in New Zealand for travel commencing from New Zealand to the Emirates network will be increasing. This applies to all fare types including Published, Net, Wholesale & Corporate Market fares.

Current fare levels are valid for sales & ticketing until Monday 21 April 2008. The increased fares levels will appear in GDS's for sales from 22 April 2008. Fare sheets reflecting the new airfare levels and rules effective 22 April 2008 were distributed Wednesday last week. Other changes to Longlife market fares which take effect 22 April 2008 are as follows:

  • Tasman Business & First Class Excursion fares withdrawn
  • Season change for Europe Economy Class. 01 Jan-15 Jan is now high season
  • Season change for Gulf Economy Class. 26 Feb-04 Mar is now high season
  • Min stay rules amended. Now calculated from last international stopover point

Group bookings will also be subject to increases. However should the appropriate deposit be paid to Emirates no later than Monday 21 April 2008, then the current group fare level will be honoured.

Reservations currently held and un-ticketed must be issued by 21 April 2008 at current levels. Any un-ticketed bookings held as at 22 April will require the new fare levels/rules to be applied.

For any travel originating/commencing outside of New Zealand, airfares will also be increasing over the next few weeks so we recommend ticketing to be completed at the time of booking.
