The inaugural Festival of the Walks on the Sunshine Coast Hinterland takes place 29 August - 13 September 09. The festival aims to encourage visitors to experience and enjoy the wide variety of walks, parks and attractions found in the picturesque Blackall Ranges. There are walking trails in a range of locations including Montville, Maleny, Mapleton and Flaxton, Conondale and Kenilworth, with maps of the walks available for download on the new website, www.festivalofthewalks.com.au.
