Auckland Museum will unveil a multisensory exhibition – Wonderland: The Mystery of the Orchid – in its Special Exhibitions Hall on 3 July. Wonderland will use cutting-edge technology, including the latest in multi-touch panels, as well as scent stations, soundscape posts and stereographic 3D goggles, to bring stories of the orchid to life in vivid detail. The Mystery of the Orchid is the first chapter in a two-part exhibition exploring stories of the world’s most popular flowers. The second chapter, Wonderland: The Magic of the Rose, opens in October. French President Nicolas Sarkozy has announced that the country's national museums and monuments will stop charging admission to visitors under 25 from 04APR. French national museums include the Louvre, where adult admission to the permanent collection is 9 euros, and the Musee d'Orsay, which costs €9.50.
