Nullarbor Links launched

17 July 2009, 11:46 am Tours & Travel

Promotion of the world's longest golf course – spanning two time zones – has begun ahead of its official 4-day opening event on 22 October. Course stretches 1,365km from Kalgoorlie to Ceduna, and offers a hole in each participating town or roadhouse along the Eyre Highway. Some the holes are over 100km apart. Nullarbor Golf Tours will be running 8-day tours from Adelaide to Kalgoorlie from A$2,635pp twin share, including accommodation, transfers between holes and meals. Golf clubs are available for use.

The surveying and mapping, the earthworks and landscaping, have all been completed, and work on the final task, the laying of the Synthetic Tees and Greens began last month.

This golf course is played along the Nullarbor Plain, a unique Australian environment. Nullarbor Golf Tours will be running both public and charter tours from November 2009. There are 9-day tours leaving from either Kalgoorlie or Adelaide. All meals, accommodation, green fees are included, along with souvenir polo shirt, golf balls and golfer's diary. Add-on tours, both golf and sightseeing, can be arranged.
