Late night viewing at Vatican Museums
The Vatican Museums has noted the success of late openings of The Louvre in Paris and the Uffizi in Florence and is to experiment with its own 11pm closing this Friday. The Vatican Museums collection of priceless treasures and art attract more than four million visitors per year at 14 euros per head.
Osservatore Romano reports that if the trial proves popular, it will be repeated. Visitors will be able to admire important collections, following an itinerary that includes: the Octagonal Court (Cortile Ottagono), the Upper Galleries of the Vatican Museums (Candelabra, Tapestries and Maps) the Raphael Stanze, the Sistine Chapel and the Galleries of the Apostolic Library.
